Case Study: Boffy's Play Cafe

Boffy’s Play Café is a play space designed for young children and their parents, offering play sessions, parties, and special events in a welcoming, family-friendly environment.


As a new business, they needed a website that could launch alongside them, clearly communicating their offering, building trust, and making it easy for customers to book from the very beginning.


The challenge


Boffy’s Play Café needed a website that could:

  • Enable customers to easily book play sessions

  • Provide clear, accessible information about the venue

  • Answer common questions through well-structured FAQs

  • Showcase party packages

  • Promote and sell tickets for special events

  • Take all payment through the website

  • Sell online giftcards


On top of this, the site needed to reflect their warm, welcoming brand and create a seamless user experience for parents often browsing on mobile, potentially while juggling little ones.


My approach


I focused on two key areas: user experience and branding.


1. User experience


The first priority was making sure users could get where they needed to go.

I created a clear site structure that guided users intuitively toward key actions:

  • Booking a session

  • Viewing party options

  • Finding essential information


Navigation was designed to be simple, predictable, and frustration-free.


2. Branding


Beth, the café owner, had already established clear brand guidelines and a strong visual direction for the physical space. My role was to translate that into a digital experience—ensuring the website reflected the same look, feel, and personality as the café itself, so customers would experience a consistent brand both online and in person.

The outcome


The final result is a website that:

  • Is clear, intuitive, and easy to navigate

  • Makes booking sessions quick and hassle-free

  • Communicates all key information effectively

  • Represents the brand in a warm and professional way


Most importantly, the feedback has been overwhelmingly positive. Customers find the site easy to use, and the client is extremely happy with how it supports their business and simplifies their operations
